The Authors Respond - Responding to the Challenges
Gail Tomblin Murphy and Adrian MacKenzie
Abstract
The purpose of the lead paper was to illustrate, through the presentation of two case studies, the kinds of successes and challenges being experienced by healthcare organizations and governments attempting to better align their services with the needs of the populations they serve. In this commentary, the authors touch upon insightful comments offered by their colleagues in response to the lead paper, address the clarifications they have called for and briefly discuss the numerous and diverse ways in which the commentators have expanded on the issues brought forward in the lead paper.
